FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, namely to a method of growing larvae of black soldier fly, and can be used as a feed additive in order to improve physiological processes in animals. Method for growing larvae of black soldier flies consists in the fact that eggs are placed in incubator for 2-3 days with temperature of 29-30 °C until the larvae appear. Then these larvae are incubated for 3-4 days on a starter diet, which is bran mixed with biologically active substances obtained from fermented infusion of stinging nettle in ratio of 1:2. Then larvae are transplanted for cultivation in trays with density of larvae planting of 5-6 specimens per cm2, with air temperature in room of 24 °C, substrate moisture content is 50-65% and daily additional feeding is carried out on the main diet, which includes a mixture of grain wastes with brewer grains. Every day the larvae are cleaned of the old substrate through a sieve on a vibrating table, and another 2 kg of a new portion of the substrate with the main diet is added to each tray. On 9-10th day, the larvae upon reaching an average weight of 250-350 mg are placed in a freezing chamber for immobilisation at a temperature of -(18-20) °C. Then larvae are dried at temperature of 50 °C for 12 hours to moisture content of 8%.

EFFECT: simplified technology and increased efficiency of larvae growing.
