SUBSTANCE: invention relates to neurology and medical rehabilitation, and can be used for botulinum toxin therapy of post-amputation pain syndromes in extremities and related disorders. Intradermal, perineural and, if necessary, intramuscular introduction of botulinum toxin A is performed. Depending on the level of amputation and in the presence of affected nerves of the upper and lower extremities, a verified neuroma and/or a pathologically altered nerve of the stump, the following is performed: – intradermal introduction of botulinum toxin A into the stump area according to the "square grid" principle with pitch of 1.5 cm with dosage of 5 units per point, the number of injection points depends on the level of amputation; – perineural introduction of botulinum toxin A under ultrasonic navigation in the area of the stump with dosage of 20 units per point, the number of injection points depends on the level of amputation. In the presence of post-amputation pain syndrome, a solution of botulinum toxin A is injected intramuscularly under ultrasonic navigation in the area of the stump, into active myofascial trigger points and muscles involved in hyperkinesis, dose of the administered preparation per point is 25 units, the number of injection points depends on the level of amputation.

EFFECT: method enables to achieve a pronounced and long-term effect in the treatment of post-amputation pain syndromes and related disorders, arresting hyperhidrosis and post-amputation stump dyskinesias, which reduces the length of prosthetic repair of the lost extremity, recovery and socialization, due to the multimodal approach and selection of the optimal dosage of botulinum toxin A and its introduction points.
