FIELD: liquid atomisation or spraying devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in spraying liquids in pharmaceutical and medical industry. Disclosed is a method for ultrasonic spraying of liquids, including the effect of ultrasonic vibrations on the liquid layer, continuously formed on the end surface of the working end of the emitter, oscillating with amplitude exceeding the cavitation threshold in the sprayed liquid. Liquid layer is formed under excess pressure in closed cylindrical volume with inner diameter exceeding diameter of working end. One of the end surfaces of the cylindrical volume is tightly fixed on the side surface of the working end at the point of minimum vibrations, in the second end surface a hole is made, which is located opposite to the oscillating end surface of the working end. Distance between oscillating end surface of working end and end surface is set, in which there is an opening corresponding to occurrence of resonance oscillations in the liquid layer with formed in the layer gas-vapor cavitation bubbles. Cavitating liquid is pushed out of the hole under the action of excess pressure in the form of a jet, in which cavitation bubbles decompose the jet into drops.
EFFECT: invention ensures reduction of the droplet size with increase in the sprayer efficiency.
