FIELD: transportation, packaging and storage.

SUBSTANCE: conveyor for transportation of eggs is used for transportation of eggs (11), first of all, in large complexes for keeping of laying hens. In conveyors for transportation of eggs with long conveyor lines (10), driven in a closed path along conveyor lines (10), traction chains (21) are subjected to high loads. At least one intermediate drive (28) is provided in addition to main drive (27) in order to keep traction chains (21) within the limits of the loads at long conveyor lines (10). Due to this, driving forces are introduced into traction chains (21) in several places, thus the load on the latter is reduced. This also leads to smoother actuation of the conveyor for transporting eggs. Preferably, in the area of intermediate drive (28), traction chains (21) in the area of upper branch (23) of the conveyor line are directed along elevation (34). As a result, it has more favourable coefficient of overlapping between traction chains (21) and driving gears (36). Intermediate drive (28) is readjustable so that it drives traction chains (21) either in the area of upper branch (23) of the conveyor line, or in the area of lower branch (24) of the conveyor line.

EFFECT: due to this, intermediate drive (28) is universally used.
