FIELD: computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering for processing audio data. Technical result is achieved due to stages, at which: pulse part (P) is extracted from audio signal (PCMi) by means of audio signal (PCMi) spectrogram determination, wherein the spectrogram has a higher temporal resolution than coder of (152, 156') signals; the extracted pulse part (P) is encoded to obtain an encoded pulse part (CP); residual (ym, R) signal extracted from audio signal (PCMi) is encoded to obtain an encoded residual (CR) signal, wherein the residual (R) signal is extracted from the audio signal (PCMi) by reducing or excluding the pulse part (P) from the audio signal (PCMi); and the encoded pulse part (CP) and the encoded residual (CR) signal are output to create the encoded signal.
EFFECT: high coding efficiency for pulse coding.
