FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used in radio monitoring means. In the radio direction finder, the average power of the noise component of the input process is additionally determined in the form of an additive mixture of the useful radio signal and noise and subtracting it from the low-frequency component of the spectrum of the input process at the outputs of the quadrature processing channels and, accordingly, at the output of each of the antenna elements of the N-element antenna array.
EFFECT: high accuracy of finding a radio-frequency source by increasing the signal-to-noise ratio at the output of the first arctangent calculator by compensating for additive Gaussian noise at the outputs of the first and second quadrature processing channels.
