FIELD: production of metal pipes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of metal pipes, mainly from titanium alloys. Disclosed titanium alloy pipe has non-uniform structure and non-uniform distribution of properties along wall thickness. Metal hardness along wall thickness increases from inner surface of proposed pipe to outer surface. Grain size along the wall thickness decreases from the inner surface of the proposed pipe to the outer surface. Average grain size is 9.7 mcm for inner and 5.6 mcm for the outer surface of the pipe, or 5.7 mcm for inner and 3.4 mcm for the outer surface of the pipe.
EFFECT: invention provides reinforcement of certain pipe zones subjected to increased mechanical loads.
