FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to intensive treatment of metal structure by plastic deformation. Proposed method comprises multi-pass forming of gauged tubular billet on initial transverse sizes and simultaneous gauging of cavity with the help of needle. Said gauged tubular billets are produced by cutting long initial hollow billet into precut sections. In first pass, precut tubular billet of initial transverse size is formed to produce first pass tube. First pass tube outer diameter equals inner diameter of precut tubular billet of initial transverse sizes. Produced first pass tube is placed in inner space of precut tubular billet with initial transverse sizes and compressed to produce first pass tube transverse sizes. Second pass tube is placed into inner space of precut tubular billet of initial transverse sizes to repeat the process.
EFFECT: higher level of plastic deformation.
