SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to devices for mounting luminaires built into stretch ceilings, and can be used for frameless installation of a luminaire in a stretch ceiling. Method for mounting a housing for a built-in luminaire, in which an embedded base is fixed to the main ceiling, setting a common level by height and performing installation of a tension canvas along the entire perimeter of the room, location of the embedded base of the housing for the built-in luminaire is determined and a hole is made in the canvas by means of a cutting tool. On the mounting plate of the installation tool, a canvas fixing housing element for the built-in luminaire is installed, mounting tool support plate is brought through the obtained hole by the support means, which is provided with the embedded luminaire housing base, canvas fixing housing element for built-in luminaire is brought to the canvas and by means of the mounting tool limiter, its mounting plate with the canvas fixing housing element for the built-in luminaire is pressed towards its support plate, so that the canvas enters the gap between the canvas fixing housing element for the built-in luminaire and the embedded base of the housing for the built-in luminaire, canvas fixing housing element for the built-in luminaire is brought into the embedded luminaire housing base until it rests against the support means, with which the embedded base of the housing for the built-in luminaire is equipped, providing the fitting of the canvas fixing housing element for the built-in luminaire in depth not less than the level of the embedded base of the housing for the built-in luminaire and forming a gap between them, the size of which ensures retention of the canvas in an interference fit, thus fixing the canvas in the housing for the built-in luminaire, by reverse movement of the mounting tool limiter along its rod, the mounting part of the mounting tool is released and removed from the housing for the built-in luminaire.

EFFECT: simplification of the process of mounting the housing for the built-in luminaire into the stretch ceiling, simplification of the housing design for the built-in luminaire.
