FIELD: liquefaction of solid combustible minerals.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in processing brown and bituminous coals. Invention relates to a method of producing pitch from bituminous coal by thermal dissolution in a solvent, involving conversion of bituminous coal into pitch during thermal dissolution of coals. Solvent used is a mixture of an anthracene fraction and a heavy fraction of a liquid product of pyrolysis of industrial rubber articles in a percentage ratio of 50/50, at optimum weight ratio of coal to solvent—60/40 at temperature in reactor—400 °C.

EFFECT: reduced power consumption, reduced amount of initial components, reduced quantitative content of anthracene fraction.
