FIELD: coal and fuel industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves treating aqueous dispersion of coal with agglomerating mixture of light hydrocarbon (e. g. petroleum ether), boiling point not over 70 C, heavy hydrocarbon - coal-tar oil, boiling point 200 to 400 C, oil distilling residues or mixture thereof, and nonionogenic addition - oil-soluble propoxylated phenol or alkyl-phenol compounds, mixing dispersion and separating agglomerates of cleaned coal; light hydrocarbon is used in the amount of 2-50 %, nonionogenic addition - 0.02- 1 %, and heavy hydrocarbon - 0.2 - 3% of coal mass; oil-soluble propoxylated phenol and alkylphenol compounds are ethoxylated; heavy hydrocarbon is selected from anthracene oils, gas-scrubbing oil or mixtures thereof.
