SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to food and chemical-pharmaceutical industry, in particular to technologies for production and compositions of dietary supplements, and can be used in diet therapy for prevention of cardiovascular and other diseases associated with disturbed system of antioxidant protection of the body and lipid metabolism. Dietary supplement contains a polysaccharide used as a matrix, ascorbic acid and biologically active compounds. Polysaccharide used is microcrystalline cellulose (MCC), and the biologically active compounds used are astaxanthin and naphthoquinone pigments. Dietary supplement contains the ratio of ascorbic acid : astaxanthin : naphthoquinone pigments by weight equal to 14:0.8:0.4. Method of dietary supplement production includes immersion of MCC in 96% ethyl alcohol, successive application on prepared matrix of MCC at temperature not higher than 40 °C while stirring an alcoholic solution of an astaxanthin source containing astaxanthin in concentration of 5 g/l, and an alcohol solution of a naphthoquinone pigment source containing naphthoquinone pigments with concentration of 2 g/l. Then alcohol is removed, ascorbic acid is added and dried to obtain the target product, in which the ratio of ascorbic acid : astaxanthin : naphthoquinone pigments is 14:0.8:0.4 by weight.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a dietary supplement containing dietary fibres, carotenoids and naphthoquinones in effective amounts and having high antioxidant activity; besides, the invention allows to expand the range of dietary supplements aimed at strengthening of body defenses in case of disturbed system of antioxidant protection of the body and lipid metabolism caused by alimentary hyperlipoprotemia.
