FIELD: environmental protection.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to environmental protection – to equipment for accumulation of solid household wastes, in particular to accumulation boxes for collection of batteries for recycling, and can be used at enterprises for collection and processing of batteries, as well as at enterprises of housing and communal services. Disclosed is a storage box for collecting used batteries for recycling, which consists of a housing in the form of a rectangular parallelepiped formed by front, rear, side left and right walls, as well as a cover and a bottom. Front wall is made with a hole in the form of an ellipse for lowering round and flat batteries in them. Walls of the box, except for the back one, are made transparent. Besides, the box is equipped with a locking element and a key for its unlocking.

EFFECT: simpler design, protection against unauthorized opening, as well as possibility of using both as a wall-mounted and a table-top device; in addition, the transparent walls of the box facilitate control of the presence of batteries collected in it and allow the user not only to detect, but also to determine its purpose; widespread use of the disclosed boxes will make it possible to reduce the probability of used batteries falling into the environment and increase the ecological culture of the population.
