SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to support of medical decisions based on analysis of medical images. Disclosed is a system for diagnosing pathologies of paranasal sinuses by X-ray images for implementing the method, which comprises a unit for obtaining X-ray images of paranasal sinuses; pathology diagnostics unit, which, using a segmentation-based neural network, detects on the obtained image areas of reduced pneumatization and areas with fluid in the paranasal sinuses; anatomical structures segmentation unit, which determines on the obtained image areas with high pneumatization and external contours of each paranasal sinus using a neural network based on segmentation and calculates degree of reduction of pneumatization for each paranasal sinus; pathology localization unit, which determines by combining output data from the pathology diagnostics unit and the output data from the anatomical structures segmentation unit belonging of pathologies to a specific paranasal sinus with elimination of false-positive results; and a unit for transmitting the report to the device requesting diagnostics.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides higher diagnostic accuracy and higher automation of processing.
