FIELD: beverage preparation devices.

SUBSTANCE: described is device (10) for treating a fluid for a beverage preparation machine. Device (10) for treatment of fluid medium is made with possibility of treatment of fluid substance to be introduced into container (C) for preparation of beverage product by mixing fluid substance with ingredients contained in container (C). Fluid treatment device (10) comprises fluid treatment housing (12) provided with inlet part (14). Fluid treatment housing (12), in its turn, comprises at least one inlet means (18) for feeding fluid into container (C). Inlet means (18) is provided on inlet part (14) of fluid treatment housing (12). Fluid treatment housing (12) also comprises outlet part (16) and at least one outlet device (20) for dispensing beverage product from container (C). Outlet means (20) is provided on outlet part (16) of fluid treatment housing (12). Preferably, fluid processing body (12) is a fluid processing needle body (12) comprising at least one end portion (26; 28) configured to perforate, pierce and/or break a defined portion or wall container (C) before introduction of fluid into container (C).

EFFECT: device for treating a fluid medium for a beverage preparation machine eliminates the shortcomings of existing beverage preparation systems and, in particular, is simpler and provides more reproducible quality of beverage products over time.
