SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to psychiatry, and can be used for diagnosing depression in men with testosterone deficiency. Patient is examined to determine the following parameters: type of current depression, level of libido, irritability, presence or absence of insomnia, emotional lability, age, presence or absence of own children, total number of depressive episodes in anamnesis, body weight and circumference. Indicators are evaluated in points. Then coefficient of diagnostics of depression in men with testosterone deficiency (K) is calculated according to the declared formula. At K≥7, depression is diagnosed in a man with testosterone deficiency.

EFFECT: method enables to reliably diagnose depression in men with testosterone deficiency by assessing a complex of the most significant indicators.
