FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for diagnosis of multiple sclerosis (MS) at early stage of disease. When detecting clinical isolated syndrome (CMS), method includes examination of a patient and examining used for assessing dermatoglyphic picture of right and left hands quantitative and qualitative criteria, listed in claim, as well as skin relief structure of palms and fingers for presence of congenital anatomic features and defects. Value of index finger skin relief structure P1 and research dermatoglyphic hand pattern: P2, P3, P4, P5, P6, P7, P8, P9, P10 and P11. Depending on analysis results values P1-P11 are assigned a numerical value equal to or 0 or 1. Further, coefficient is calculated to diagnose MS by formula: K=0.48×P1+0.49×P2+0.52×P3+0.58×P4+0.45×P5+0.40×P6+0.76×P7+0.67×P8+0.35×P9+0.30×P10+0.55×P11. If condition 3.02≤K≤5.55 is satisfied, MS is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method provides improved reliability of diagnosing MS at early stage of disease - at stage of detecting CMS.
