FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing an article from a highly plastic composite material based on a modified aluminum alloy. Method of producing articles from modified aluminum alloy consists of the following steps: step S1—preparation of molten aluminum alloy; step S2—preparation of a modifier; step S3—in an inert gas atmosphere, a modifier for melting is added to the molten aluminum alloy to obtain a melt of the modified aluminum alloy, wherein the amount of said modifier is 0.4–0.6 wt.% of the total amount of molten aluminum alloy; step S4—casting is performed to obtain workpieces from a modified aluminum alloy; stage S5—heat treatment of cast blanks. Heat treatment includes solid solution treatment with heating of workpieces to 530–550 °C and holding for 120–300 min; treatment by quenching in water; aging treatment, wherein the workpieces are held at temperature of 110–140 °C for 120–240 minutes, then the temperature is increased to 160–200 °C and held for 20–60 minutes. Then the workpieces are cooled to room temperature.

EFFECT: obtaining highly plastic articles from composite material based on modified aluminum alloy.
