FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of a cast composition material (CCM) on the basis of aluminium for manufacturing of foundry goods and deformed items of electric purpose. CCM contains aluminium of technical purity as a matrix component, and the reinforcing component in it is represented by discrete ceramic particles of carbon-containing boride phase C2Al3B48 in the amount of 0.1-0.6 wt %, synthesised in the melt. The method to produce CCM includes introduction of ligature Al-B into technical aluminium melt, mixing for 5-10 min., introduction of diamond-graphite nanosize powder into melt at temperature 980-1000°C and soaking for 10-15 min for synthesis of ceramic discrete particles and their distribution in the melt volume, performance of melt modification by ligature Al-Sr, mixing and pouring at temperature 740-750°C.
EFFECT: development of CCM based on aluminium, having higher electroconductivity, strength and plasticity, making it possible to expose composite material to cold deformation and to achieve high extent of compression without intermediate annealing, and the method to produce CCM with high environmental safety, lower labour intensiveness and higher quality of a composite material.
