FIELD: veterinary medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the treatment of endometritis in cows. An organic drug for the treatment of endometritis in cows, including dimethyl sulfoxide, monolaurin, ichthyol, polyethylene glycol, in the following ratio of components, wt.%: 1–4 of monolaurin; 0.5–2.0 of ichthyol; 1–3 of dimethyl sulfoxide; the rest if polyethylene glycol PEG 400. A method of using an organic drug for the treatment of endometritis in cows, according to which the drug is administered intracervically twice: in the first 12 hours after calving, and then the administration is repeated after 24 hours at a dose of 100 ml per head to 200 ml per head.

EFFECT: above-described drug and method of its use increase the effectiveness of treatment or prevention of postpartum endometritis in cows.
