FIELD: computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering for processing audio data. Technical result is achieved by a method comprising steps of receiving an encoded representation of one or more audio signals and providing a decoded representation of the one or more audio signals; receiving coded information on directed loudness maps and decoding the encoded information on directed loudness maps to obtain one or more directed loudness maps, wherein one or more directional loudness maps indicate perception of audio content for different directions; and the audio scene is recreated using the decoded representation of the one or more audio signals and one or more directional loudness maps are used.
EFFECT: high accuracy of decoding encoded audio content.
