FIELD: wireless communication systems.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication systems, particularly to space communication systems. For this purpose, in a communication method, measurements by user equipment (UE) are made on a first downlink signal of a ground-based transmitting and receiving point and on a second downlink signal of a space transmitting and receiving point in a wireless communication network. Turning on, by UE, a first connection between the UE and the ground transmitting and receiving point, based on a first measurement result equal to or greater than a first downlink signal; and transmitting or receiving, by the UE, a first wireless transmission to or from a ground-based transmitting and receiving point in a wireless network. In case the second threshold is less than the first threshold, the second connection between the UE and the space transmitting and receiving point is switched on by the UE, based on the second measurement result, equal to or exceeding a second threshold on a second downlink signal, and a second wireless transmission is transmitted or received by the UE to or from a space transmitting and receiving point in a wireless network.

EFFECT: use of a more flexible communication system with an extended range of wireless communication coverage and improved quality of service compared to traditional communication systems.
