FIELD: radiation protection.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of forming protection against ionizing radiation. Method of forming biological protection against ionizing radiation, wherein panels intended for protection against ionizing radiation are installed on walls of protected structure. Installation is carried out on vertical walls of the structure. Panels are installed on the channel in a row so that the lower part of the panels touches the ground. Through holes are pre-drilled in the channel wall through equal intervals at a distance from each other equal to half the width of the panel; the corresponding through holes are made in the upper part of the panels at an equal distance from their lateral sides. Bolts are inserted into the holes from the inner side of the channel and the bolt heads are tacked by electric welding. Installation of panels is carried out by hanging them on rods of said bolts for holes made in panels, each panel – on two bolts. It is possible to install an additional panel in the following layer on top of already installed ones.
EFFECT: invention allows avoiding use of lifting equipment for lifting of said structure and subsequent formation of biological protection of its bottom.
