FIELD: oil industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the oil industry, in particular to a method of processing heavy oil or tar, characterized by the fact that in an ultrasonic disperser with a wave frequency of 22 kHz and energy density of 5 W/cm2 at temperature of 80–100 °A crude mixture is prepared. Composition contains 87.4–97.4 wt.% of heavy oil or tar, activated carbon and nanosized particles of iron and nickel oxides taken at a weight ratio of 2:1, with a weight ratio of activated carbon to metal oxides of 2.3:1. Then the crude mixture is heated to 465 °C and mixed with 2.1–10.1 wt.% hydrogen and fed through a nozzle in an upward direction into an evaporator under pressure of 15–20 MPa.
EFFECT: increased output of distillate fraction boiling in the temperature range from the beginning of boiling to 360 °C by 14–15% with improvement of its composition due to reduction of content of sulphur, nickel, vanadium and polyaromatic compounds.
