SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, namely to means of functional diagnostics of electric units (EU) with internal combustion engines, and can be used as part of systems for diagnosing technical condition of mobile power plants. Bidirectional device for transient frequency deviation tolerance control comprises: generator 1, clamps for connection 2, starting element 3, diode 4, limiter-shaper 5, inverter 6, short pulse generator 7, first 8 and second 9 delay elements, first 10, second 11 and third 12 logical elements AND, first 13, second 14 and third 15 memory registers, first 16 and second 17 subtractors, first 18, second 19 and third 20 numerical comparators, first 21 setting registers, first 22 and second 23 memory units, stable frequency pulse generator 24, pulse divider 25, pulse counter 26, first RS-trigger 27, first indicator 28, START bus 29, three-phase active power sensor 30 with digital output, first 31 and second 32 logical elements OR, electronic key 33, second short pulse generator 34, second RS-trigger 35, fourth memory register 36, fourth numerical comparator 37, third logical element OR 38, third RS-trigger 39, second 40 and third 41 electronic keys.
