FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of producing a hydrolyzate of plant proteins for use as components of a medium which supports the growth of eukaryotic cells, including addition of concentrated HCl solution to plant material, obtained from secondary food raw materials—from rice, wheat, rye, corn, chaffed offal or brewing wastes, with protein content of 4–35% and fiber content of 1–50%; incubating for 15–36 hours at 70–90 °C, neutralizing the acid hydrolyzate, centrifuging and extracting the supernatant with further filtration through a sterile filter; vegetable protein hydrolyzate obtained by the disclosed method; composition containing 0.1–50 wt.% of obtained hydrolyzate and 10–99.9 wt.% of mixture for cell cultivation, and a method for production thereof, comprising mixing the obtained hydrolyzate with a mixture for cell culture; method for the production of cultured meat, comprising dissolving the obtained composition in a sterile aqueous solvent, adding salts, a buffer, energy sources, trace elements, essential amino acids and/or growth factors, inoculation with myosatellite, mesenchymal, stromal, muscle, stem, induced pluripotent stem cells or fibroblast cells and culturing.

EFFECT: inventions provide a wider range of nutrient media for supporting the growth of eukaryotic cells using secondary food raw materials.
