FIELD: telecommunication equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to organize communication systems in field conditions. Radio communication system comprises two radio relay units, each of which communicates with its group of portable radios over the VHF range, each radio repeater unit comprises a GSM-module, a control controller, a push-to-talk switch, a fixed radio station, light indication of communication quality and light indication of established communication between units of radio relay, wherein communication between units of radio relay is carried out by means of GSM-modules, and the stationary radio station additionally performs the function of a transceiving device between the GSM-module of the radio repeater unit and the group of portable radios associated with it.
EFFECT: increase in the coverage area of a group of users of portable hand-held radios due to arrangement of an audio channel between a fixed radio station and a GSM-module, GSM-module provides reception-transmission of audio messages between spaced apart stationary radio stations over GSM-networks.
