FIELD: aerosol generation.

SUBSTANCE: device comprises a housing with an opening located at one end thereof, configured to receive an aerosol-forming material, a cover configured to move between an open position, in which the opening is open, and a closed position, in which the opening is closed, through an intermediate position; and a spring. The first end of the spring is connected to the lid on the first hinge with the possibility of rotation relative to the first hinge when the lid moves between open and closed positions. The second end of the cover is connected to the body on the second hinge with the possibility of rotation relative to the second hinge when the cover is moved between the open and closed positions. The spring is configured to push the lid to the open position when the lid is between the open and intermediate positions, and to push the lid to the closed position when the lid is between the intermediate and open positions.

EFFECT: efforts to actuate the lid opening mechanism are reduced and reliability is increased, breakdowns are reduced.
