FIELD: aerosol delivery systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an aerosol delivery device and a method for protecting the electrical components of an aerosol delivery device from water ingress. An aerosol delivery device having an axis and containing a power source and an end element located at the first end, at least partially surrounded by an outer shell. The end member and the outer sheath together form the end surface of the aerosol delivery device. The end element has a groove located in the axial direction at a distance from the end surface and closed by an outer shell.
EFFECT: reduced ingress of water into the device.
