FIELD: ferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, specifically to out-of-furnace treatment of steel with calcium-containing materials. During out-of-furnace treatment of steel calcium-containing wire is introduced and continuous casting of steel of current melting is performed. During the steel casting, the basic casting speed of the current melt and the corresponding initial position of the dosing device of the intermediate ladle are set, and based on the analysis of the accumulated array of experimental data, determining the amount of calcium required to enter the steel at the next melt, which is poured in one series next on the same casting machine, at that, in case of displacement of dosing device during casting of current melt below initial level, calcium-containing wire consumption is reduced, and in case of displacement of dosing device during casting of current melt above initial level, consumption of calcium-containing wire is increased.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to optimize consumption of calcium-containing wire during out-of-furnace treatment of steel without deterioration of steel quality by non-metallic inclusions, and also to increase resistance of refractory materials of intermediate ladle, including intermediate funnels.
