FIELD: weapons.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of weapons, namely to the missile warhead housing. Missile warhead housing comprises cylindrical outer shell, container for explosive substance, unit of finished striking elements in the form of cylindrical bodies of revolution, axisymmetrically located along longitudinal axis of warhead housing, installed between outer shell and container for explosive substance. Unit of finished striking elements is made in the form of separate annular sections containing 2…4 circumferential rows of finished striking elements in the form of a cylindrical body of revolution in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the warhead housing, and equipped with dampers on their end surfaces. Ratio of the sum of the lengths of the finished striking elements in the unit, taken in one of each circumferential row of annular sections, to the length of the unit of finished striking elements is not less than 0.9. Front end of the unit of finished striking elements facing the nose of the missile is displaced back relative to the end of the explosive container by distance of 0.2…1.0 of the diameter of the outer surface of the explosive container.
EFFECT: increasing the range of missile warheads for hitting a wide variety of targets, increasing the reliability of operation and reducing the labour intensity of manufacturing.
