FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, agriculture and plant growing, in particular to improving the quality of soil for growing varieties of durum spring wheat, adapted to arid forest-steppe and steppe regions of the Russian Federation. Method includes preliminary impregnation of biochar with solution of liquid complex fertilizer NP 11:37 with total concentration of 10% of total weight, with impregnation coefficient from 0.8 to 1.0 with subsequent application into soil. Impregnated biochar is scattered over the soil surface in dosage of 10 t/ha and ploughed with a reversible plough to depth of 20-22 cm.

EFFECT: method provides higher fertility of agricultural lands due to application of preliminarily prepared biochar with increased content of macro- and microelements during ploughing into root layer of soil, with simultaneous preservation of moisture available for plants with porous structure of biochar.
