FIELD: analysis of materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for visual determination of content of barium or strontium cations in environmental objects. Device consists of compound—4',5''-bis(1-hydroxy-2-trifluoromethylacetamide-9,10-anthraquinone-9-imino)-dibenzo-18-crown-6-ether, immobilized on a paper matrix. Content of barium and strontium cations is determined by comparing the color intensity of the paper matrix with a calibration scale.

EFFECT: design of a simple device for out-of-laboratory rapid determination of content of barium and strontium cations in environmental objects.
