FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for guiding moving parts. Insert-type guide device for guiding an axis comprises a metal component in the form of an insert provided with a friction surface intended for placing the axis in frictional contact by sliding with an oscillating movement; friction surface wear detection system containing sensors; wireless communication system connected with wear detection system for transmission of information on friction surface wear from guide device. Sensors are located on one longitudinal side or on two longitudinal sides of the insert. Each longitudinal side is formed by not more than two fifths of the length of the annular insert. Articulated joint comprises a guide device and an axis installed in friction contact by means of sliding with oscillatory movement along the friction surface.
EFFECT: improved wear detection.
