FIELD: guiding device.
SUBSTANCE: present invention is related to a guiding device (10) comprising: a metal component (20) having a friction surface (22) designed to accommodate a mating part (2) in a sliding friction contact; a wear detection system (30) for detecting wear of the friction surface (22) or a gap between the friction surface (22) and the mating part (2), the detection system (30) comprising one or more sensors (32); and a wireless communication system (40) connected to the detection system (30) and configured to transmit information related to wear or clearance from the guide device (10).
EFFECT: simple to implement means for indicating the angular and axial position of the sensor are achieved.
