FIELD: oil industry.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the oil refining industry and can be used to increase the octane number of catalytically cracked gasoline. Disclosed catalyst includes ultrastable zeolite Y in cation-decationated form and a matrix consisting of amorphous aluminosilicate, aluminium oxide and natural clay, wherein matrix components used are modified aluminosilicate containing 0.05–5 wt.% oxides of rare-earth elements, modified aluminium oxide containing 0.05–3 wt.% oxides of rare-earth elements, and natural clay with the following content of components in the catalyst, wt.%: zeolite Y 20–24; amorphous aluminosilicate 30–40; aluminium oxide 24–30; natural clay 7–24. Proposed catalyst preparation method involves ion exchanges for cations of rare-earth elements and ammonium on NaY zeolite, two-step ultrastabilization of zeolite, mixing zeolite with a matrix, components of which are amorphous aluminosilicate, aluminium oxide and natural clay, spray drying of the obtained composition, followed by calcination and obtaining a catalyst, wherein amorphous aluminosilicate is modified by activation with solution of nitrate salts of rare-earth elements to content of oxides of rare-earth elements of 0.05–5 wt.%, aluminium oxide is modified by hydrothermal treatment in the presence of a solution of nitrate salts of rare-earth elements to content of oxides of rare-earth elements of 0.05–3 wt.%. with the following content of components in the catalyst, wt.%: zeolite Y 20–24; amorphous aluminosilicate 30–40; aluminium oxide 24–30; natural clay 7–24.

EFFECT: obtaining an efficient vacuum gas oil cracking catalyst for obtaining gasoline with high octane characteristics.
