FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a uniformly modified material of a negative electrode from silicon monoxide, and a method for production thereof, and use thereof. Silicon monoxide negative electrode material contains silicon monoxide and carbon atoms, where carbon atoms are uniformly distributed in the silicon monoxide at the atomic level; wherein each of the carbon atoms is bonded to the silicon atom to form an amorphous Si-C bond, wherein the X-ray diffraction pattern (XRD) does not show a SiC crystalline peak; in 29Si NMR spectrum obtained during the study of the uniformly modified material of the negative electrode of silicon monoxide by solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), a resonance Si-C peak between −10 ppm and −20 ppm is observed; average diameter D50 of the negative electrode material from silicon monoxide is 1–100 mcm, and the specific surface area is 0.5–40 m2/g, the mass of carbon atoms is 0.1–40% of the weight of the monoxide silicon.
EFFECT: when using the gas-phase method, carbon atoms are uniformly embedded inside carbon monoxide at the atomic level, wherein the material has a small volume expansion during extraction of lithium, a high coefficient of electrical conductivity for lithium ions and improved cyclic efficiency and rate characteristic.
