FIELD: materials science; production of composite materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a uniformly modified composite material based on silicon, a method for production thereof and use thereof. Silicon-based composite material has general formula SiCxAyOz; where 0<x<20; 0<y<10 and 0<z<10; in which A is one or more of B, Al, Ca, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Ge, Sn and Li; C is uniformly dispersed in particles of composite material based on silicon at the atomic level, wherein there is no accumulation of elemental carbon more than 20 nm; some or all of the carbon atoms are bonded to silicon atoms to form disordered Si-C bonds.

EFFECT: improved electrical conductivity of the material and cyclic stability of lithium-ion batteries.
