FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to laser information-measuring systems and can be used as a primary sensor for determining the value and direction of speed of circular and/or speed of translation in navigation systems, movement control. Proposed gyroscope consists of a Sagnac interferometer located on a platform with a rotary device in azimuth and elevation angle, a unit for control and processing of measurement results. One arm of the interferometer includes an optical deflector and a total internal reflection prism, the second arm of the interferometer includes a mirror with a piezoelectric drive. Signal carrying information on the linear speed and direction thereof arises at interference of two waves. Determination of motion parameters is carried out by digital processing of the interference signal at scanning frequency, doubled and triple frequencies. Signals at double and triple frequencies, a mirror with a piezo-drive are used to ensure operating conditions of the interferometer in quadrature mode, and the signal at the fundamental frequency is used to determine motion parameters.
EFFECT: wider range of optical gyroscopes.
