FIELD: radar and radio navigation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of means of controlling parameters of secondary aircraft traffic control systems. Disclosed are methods for remote control of parameters of a control transponder using radiation from a secondary radar. In the first version of the method, information on parameters is transmitted to the control transponder through the suppression channel in the direction opposite to the direction of the maximum of the pattern of the request to the control transponder. In the second version, transmission of information on parameters to the control transponder is carried out at a non-operating range.

EFFECT: transmission of control signals by a control transponder using radiation of a secondary radar set (SRS) over a radio channel without increasing the load on the SRS transmitter and without introducing additional interference into the air.
