FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used for diagnosing demodectic blepharitis. Two days after the eyelid hygiene is excluded, the patient undergoes optical coherence tomography of the eyelid edges. If observing on the OCT images hyperreflective inclusions with size of 100 mcm in the edge areas of the ciliary follicle and/or on the surface of the ciliary edge of the eyelids, demodectic blepharitis is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method speeds up the diagnosis, improves the accuracy of diagnosing demodectic blepharitis, eliminates pain in the patient by using OCT.
