SUBSTANCE: porous element contains an elongated rod made of a porous ceramic material, having the first end surface, the second end surface and one or more side surfaces passing between the first and the second end surfaces and defining the length of the rod, a metal coating deposited on at least one side surface on the at least part of the length of the rod. A portion of each of these one or more side surfaces adjacent to the first end surface is uncoated, forming an uncoated end portion of the rod.

EFFECT: porous element can be used as a current collector for induction heating, while expanding the possibility of choosing the material of the support element for the porous element.
