FIELD: marine navigation.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used as a means of performing navigation observation. Single-mirror sextant comprises a frame, a limb, a semitransparent mirror with two mutually perpendicular axes of rotation equipped with counting-locking devices (CLD), optical tube, liquid level. Frame comprises a handle, a shaft, an azimuthal worm CLD, a socket for mounting an optical tube, on the frame shaft there is an azimuthal sector with a diametrical chord and with a globoid thread fitted on the rib, which engages with an azimuthal worm CLD. On azimuthal sector diametrical chord there are posts with mirror frame shafts, and the mirror frame is rigidly connected to the high-rise sector with a globoid thread along the rib, which engages with the high-rise worm CLD fixed on one of the posts, wherein a horizontal liquid level is installed on the mirror frame.

EFFECT: easy measurement and reading of values of navigation parameters with sufficiently high accuracy.
