FIELD: fibre-optic technologies.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fibre-optic technologies, in particular to devices for forming a fibre Bragg grating structure in an optical fibre core with possibility of reflection wavelength tuning. Device comprising an excimer laser system and placed along the radiation path a phase mask, an absorbing screen, an interferometer on four mirrors, which is two pairs of optically conjugated mirrors arranged symmetrically relative to the interferometer axis of symmetry. First pair of mirrors along the radiation path is located at an angle to the normal drawn from the axis of symmetry of the interferometer and is rigidly fixed, the second pair of mirrors along the radiation path is installed with possibility of turning in the plane of incidence of the beam. Pair of mirrors installed with possibility of rotation in the plane of incidence of the beam is placed along the axis of symmetry of the interferometer after the phase mask, wherein said pairs of interferometer mirrors are spaced apart by a distance defined as the distance between normals drawn from the axis of symmetry of the interferometer to the centres of the reflecting surfaces of the mirrors in each pair, and is not more than 228 mm, and rigidly fixed mirrors are located at an angle to normal.

EFFECT: invention increases the upper limit of the range of possible physical lengths of the gratings.
