FIELD: construction materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of construction materials, in particular, to foam concrete, and can be used in plants of foam concrete products and structures, in production of commercial foam concrete and in monolithic construction. Method of designing compositions of foam concrete mixtures is based on exact observance of physical laws of packing of grains of initial materials in complex system of foam concrete taking into account filling of intergranular space with foam (method of absolute volumes). Method includes empirically determining the true density of dry components (binder – portland cement, filler – microsilica), optimum concentration of aqueous solution of foaming agent, expansion ratio of foam prepared from it and its coefficient of use in cement mortar, calculation of volumes of all initial materials of foam concrete mixture (binding substance, aggregate, water and foam) and their consumption per 1 m³ of foam concrete mixture according to given mathematical formulas.

EFFECT: reduction of labour intensity at determination of consumption of raw components of foam concrete mixture and optimization of composition of 1 m³ of foam concrete at different average density.
