FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to veterinary science and combustiology, and can be used for treating burn wounds using a wound coating with cytoprotective activity. A wound dressing based on collagen, Na-carboxymethylcellulose, glycerine and water is applied. Prior to application, wound dressing is treated in solution of 3-(1H-benzimidazol-2-yl)-1,2,2-trimethylcyclopentanecarboxylic acid in concentration of 20 mcg/ml.
EFFECT: method enables accelerating the process of burn-caused wound healing due to the integrated optimizing effect of the wound dressing and the solution of substance 3-(1H-benzimidazol-2-yl)-1,2,2-trimethylcyclopentanecarboxylic acid on the course of the wound process.
