FIELD: polymer industry.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed group of inventions relates to a polymer composition comprising a first polyolefin component, a second polyolefin component and optionally a filler, an article containing a polyolefin composition, use of a polyolefin composition, a cable comprising at least one layer containing a polymer composition, and a method of producing the cable. Polymer composition for producing wire or cable, containing (A) a first polyolefin component, where the first polyolefin component comprises a polyolefin multimodal polymer, (B) a second polyolefin component, where the first polyolefin component (A) is present in amount of 75 to 97 wt.% in terms of total polymer composition and the second polyolefin component (B) is present in amount of 25 to 3 wt.% in terms of total polymer composition, where the first polyolefin component (A) is a homo- or copolymer of linear polyethylene, having density of 900 to 950 kg/m3, and the second polyolefin polymer (B) is a low-density polyethylene homo- or copolymer having density of 880 to 930 kg/m3, where the first polyolefin component (A) is obtained using a Ziegler–Natta catalyst.
EFFECT: providing a polymer composition having high tensile strength in combination with high environmental cracking resistance (ESCR), low deformation and low shrinkage, having preferential processability.
