FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to application of non- vulcanised polymer composition in insulating layer of direct current power cable, to direct current power cable and method of its obtaining. Direct current power cable contains conductor, which is surrounded by, at least, internal semi-conducting layer, insulating layer and external semi-conductor layer, in said order. At least, insulating layer is made of non-vulcanised polymer composition, components of which contain as single polymer components a) polyolefin, selected from the group, which consists of low density ethylene homopolymer or low density ethylene copolymer, low pressure ethylene homopolymer or low pressure ethylene copolymer, which includes from 0.1 to 15 mol % of C3-20 alpha-olefin comonomer, or low pressure polypropylene; and (b) possibly, second polyolefin, selected from the group, which consists of low density ethylene homopolymer or low density ethylene copolymer, low pressure ethylene homopolymer or low pressure ethylene copolymer, or low pressure polypropylene, different from polyolefin (a).

EFFECT: polymer composition of insulating layer by invention possesses low electric conductivity - 110 fS/m or less.
