FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cable, including power cable, or DC power cable, or crosslinked power cable, as well as to production of cable. Cable includes conductor surrounded by at least one layer, which is made of polymer composition. Polymer composition contains (a) polyethylene obtained in presence of an olefin polymerisation catalyst, (b) unsaturated low density ethylene (LDPE) homopolymer or unsaturated low density ethylene copolymer and (c) an anion-exchange additive in amount of 0.000001 to less than 1 wt%. Polyethylene (a) is selected from very low density polyethylene (VLDPE) copolymers, linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) copolymers, medium density polyethylene (MDPE) copolymers high density polyethylene (HDPE) homopolymers or copolymers.
EFFECT: obtained cable has low conductivity.
