FIELD: road construction.
SUBSTANCE: road baffle consists of a concrete block installed on a road dividing strip, on opposite side surfaces of which, facing traffic lanes, protective layers are made from extended damping figured elements in the form of elastic bundles enclosed in an elastic shell consisting of a set of spring rings. Diameter of each elastic bundle is equal to inner diameter of spring ring. Damper shaped elements are strung on transverse and longitudinal elastic rods of the elastic mesh, with formation of a damper accumulator in the form of a cassette inserted into a case fixed on the outer side of the concrete block. Damper shaped elements contact the surface of the concrete block. Length of damper shaped elements is equal to dimensions: length and width of elastic mesh cell. Damper shaped elements can be made with a longitudinal incision, the width of which is equal to the diameter of the rod of the elastic mesh.
EFFECT: invention can be used to provide reliable separation of traffic flow by baffle plates on roads and highways.
